This class is different than most classes you have ever attended.
In a typical class, you listen to the teacher/instructor and learn the information, then take an exam and “hopefully” pass and move on.
In this class, we tell you to purchase the TECHNICIAN licensing information manual from any source you desire. We instruct you to read and learn the material in the book as best as you can, but while reading and learning the material in the book, if you have questions or do not understand something you are reading about, write it down. We are there to help you understand the material necessary to pass the Technician exam, not to pass the test.
During the 3-Saturday class you will be exposed to all of the information in the book, and provided with the opportunity to ask questions and gain understanding. Class times are from 8:00 am to between 3 – 5 pm in the evening, depending on several factors, like is your brain full yet! 🙂
The book you purchase is not super important, there are several to choose from and all of them have the material you need to learn, but may be presented in unique ways. Review them and purchase the book you find the most interesting. Both AMAZON and the ARRL sell the books that you need. Just be certain it is the TECHNICIAN manual. Since this is the exam, and the class, you will be attending.
